18 Months

I can’t believe that our little peanut is 18 months old, a year and a half!!! 

18 Months Stats

*You weighed in at your well-visit at 19.2 lbs which is in the 1%.  

*You are 30" tall (10%), which means you grew 1 1/2 inches in the last 2 months.

*You’re still mostly in size 6-12 month clothes and boy is your Mom sick of them :)!  You’ve got a closet full of the next size just waiting until you fit in to them, hopefully soon!

*You’re wearing size 3 diapers

*You’re wearing size 3 or 4 in shoes

*You are constantly on the go and don’t like to sit still for long.  Mom and Dad try and get you to sit and snuggle but you’d much rather be chased around or be making a mess!

*You’ve got at least 11 teeth but there always seems to be another one popping up!  When Mom puts medicine on your teeth she has to be sure to get in and out quickly or you’ll hear her scream….and you think that’s pretty funny!

*You LOVE bathtime, LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  If you even hear the word “bath” you get so excited and say “baa, baa, baa….” Over and over again until you find yourself in it!

*Your favorite word in “no”.

*Some of your other favorite words; please, bath, Mom, Dad, hi, hello, bumblebee, yeah, shoes, Wiley, Grandma, Grandpa, Ella, George, puppy, bunny, oh uh.  Of course some of these are only understood by Mom and Dad :)

*You are really good at pointing out your different body parts when we ask.  “where are your ears, eyes, belly button, etc?”

*You try so so so hard to jump but your little feet just don’t make it off the ground.  It sure is entertaining for your Mommy and Daddy to watch you try though :)

*The tide has turned at Daycare.  You used to cry every time Mommy would drop you off but now you are happy to go, it’s the leaving part you aren’t too thrilled with.

*At your well-visit it was discovered that you have your first ear infection.  Just the night before when in the car you got sick for the first time...the doctor said the two were probably related to one another.

*You are starting to become a little stubborn when it comes to eating.  It may be because you’ve been fighting colds for the last couple months.  This probably explains part of the reason you haven't put on much weight over the last two months too!  

*You bring joy in to our lives every single day!

Even though it’s hard to believe you’re 18 months old, I honestly can’t remember or imagine our lives before you.  You have been such a blessing and we are so lucky to have you!
